Show me what my webcam can actually do. Resolution, frame rate, device label, and a live preview — straight from the browser. Free, no signup, no download.
The resolution your camera is capable of and the resolution it negotiates with the browser are not always the same. USB 2.0 ports can cap a 4K webcam at 1080p. Low light triggers some cameras to drop frame rate to keep exposure up. External monitors with built-in webcams sometimes default to 720p even when capable of more. The test shows what you're actually getting right now, not the spec sheet.
Browsers hide device labels until you grant camera permission. If the picker shows generic "Camera 1, Camera 2," accept the prompt and refresh — labels populate after permission is granted.
ShipClip records your camera at its native resolution and frame rate, in a separate track from the screen. Real-time background removal so you don't need a green screen. Used by developers for technical walkthroughs and code reviews. Native Mac app, 6 MB.
